UPDATE--Saturday, November 7th, 4:30am-- The Parkes Neighborhood, JCP

This is a firsthand update to a story we previously posted:

There was an attempted break in at my daughter's bedroom window at 4:30am in the morning. We initially thought it was earlier, however, after reviewing the time in which our alarm sounded, we now know it was 4:30 am. We found the screen to her window ripped on the lower right corner and the bottom portion of the frame bent upward and pulled from the window. In addition, there are several scrapes on the screen as well. We live in the Parkes, and do not have detection lights. We will be putting them into place immediately! It was around 3:00am that my neighbor heard tapping on her window as well. We did file a report with the St. Johns County Police Department. This is very scary for parents and should be taken very seriously.

  1. Thank you for being PROACTIVE in starting up this website! If we all work as a TEAM and keep an eye out for one another, it would be awesome. Let's all have NEIGHBORHOOD (subdivision) watches. This has been an eye-opener on our often careless behaviors towards feeling safe in this awesome community! We are not safe anywhere, but we need not make our children paranoid, only TOTALLY AWARE in confidence and protocol. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! YOU GUYS ROCK THE HOUSE . . . !!!!
